the assignment was tu use the gametime line to create a double 12 x 12 layout based on this sketch.

these photos were taken on mother's day this year...i was trying to get a great photo of me and the little ones. you know the kind of photo that you want to look back on and remind yourself of how great things were? (I swear I’ll get off this theme soon.) i didn't get 1 picture...i got a bunch of pictures, with something special about each of them.
the girls did some amazing layouts too. you should check {them}out for inspiration.

so i quickly headed over to embellish-online.com for our first assignment. you will be able to check out everyone’s race project there. The deadline is tomorrow at 12:00 mst. i better get crackin’!

no perfect title here

yes…amory is pulling some kind of a funny face…and i know the quality of the picture is not so great. and I know there is no title to this page… there are so many imperfect things about this layout…yet when you hold it in your hand it says so much.

the journaling reads:
so here i am…trying to take a “perfect” picture that will jog all the memories. you know the ones i feel i need to hold for both me and amory. but there is no perfect picture. there is only the experience. the experience that is who we are. and I am so glad that amory (and i) got to share that experience with you…thank you.

this was my end of year gift to amory’s first teacher…a wonderful woman…who allowed my son and all of his friends…simply be who they are.

amazing race- scrapbook style

good news! i was picked as a finalist for the rusty pickle amazing race. it will start on the 17th and us finalists will be scrappin’ the night away to make it to the next destination. or at least that’s how i understand it will work. i can’t believe my name was on their list. i had just about given up on contests…but thought I’d give it one more try. so with one week to go i started creating and i came up with these three projects. you can’t see much detail in the pics…but you get the idea. wish me luck for the race!
